Booking conditions
The rules of the stay, written out in full. The marked items are to be confirmed with the owners before publication.
Who lets the house
The tourist letting contract is concluded between the guest and Silvanae Sicily Holiday, whose identifying details and VAT number appear in the site footer. Each house is published with its own Codice Identificativo Nazionale (CIN), as Italian short-let legislation requires.
How to book
An enquiry sent from the site or by email is not a booking. The booking is confirmed when we receive the deposit and send you written confirmation with the exact address of the house and the arrival instructions.
Deposit and balance
(Deposit percentage and balance deadline: to be confirmed with the owners.) The deposit is paid on confirmation of the booking and the balance before or on arrival, as stated in the confirmation. Payments are made by the means set out in the booking confirmation.
Cancellation
(Cancellation terms and charges: to be confirmed with the owners.) A cancellation must be sent in writing to the email address on the contact page. The date of receipt applies.
Arrival and departure
(Check-in and check-out times: to be confirmed with the owners.) Check-in is in person. Late arrivals must be notified in advance. At check-in every guest must show a valid identity document: reporting guests to the public security authorities is a legal obligation in Italy.
Number of guests
Only the people named in the booking may stay in the house. Undeclared guests may lead to immediate termination of the contract without refund.
Tourist tax
Where the municipality levies it, tourist tax is not included in the price and is paid on site, at the rates and exemptions set by the municipal regulation in force.
Security deposit
(Amount and method: to be confirmed with the owners.) Where a security deposit is taken, it is returned after departure once the condition of the house has been checked.
House rules
- Smoking indoors is not permitted.
- Quiet hours at night must be respected, as required locally.
- Parties and events are not allowed.
- Pets are accepted only by written agreement at the time of booking.
- The Pool Villa’s pool is unsupervised: use is at guests’ own risk and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Damage
Any damage to the house or its contents must be reported at once and is charged to the guest.
Liability
We are not liable for events outside our control, such as interruptions to public utilities, weather conditions or force majeure.
Governing law and complaints
The contract is governed by Italian law. Complaints may be sent to the email address on the contact page. In a dispute with a consumer, the European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform is available.
