About us
Two houses, kept in person
Silvanae is a family-run business in Aci Trezza, on the Riviera dei Ciclopi. We rent two houses that we know one room at a time.
Aci Trezza is a fishing village north of Catania, under Etna and facing the faraglioni: the stacks of lava rock that, in the Odyssey, Polyphemus hurls after the fleeing Ulysses, and around which Giovanni Verga set I Malavoglia. Silvanae is a family-run business that rents two properties here, three minutes’ walk from the sea.
Our properties
There are two, and they are deliberately different.
- Silvanae Pool Villa — four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private pool open all year and three thousand square metres of garden. For groups and families travelling together, up to nine guests.
- Silvanae Apartment — 137 square metres in the village, a panoramic terrace over the faraglioni and private parking. For people who want Aci Trezza on foot, up to seven guests.
Eastern Sicily in a day
From here the rest of eastern Sicily is a day trip: Catania and its baroque, Etna with its lava flows and the wineries on its slopes, Taormina, Syracuse and Ortigia. In the evening you come back to the little harbour, where the boats are pulled up onto the seafront.
Book direct
Booking here means booking direct with us: no intermediary commission, and whoever answers the email is the same person who hands over the keys.

- By train: Catania Centrale station, 12 km, then bus or taxi.
